Seward County Kennel Club On Saturday: Bindi Sue received 3rd in Open Bitches. Story (11mos) received a first in her class of 4, Puppy Bitches. Raider (Nancy’s boy Wyndy X Jax) received a first and went Reserve Winners Dog. Saylor (Marion’s boy Wyndy X Carson) received a third and finished a CD in obedience. On Sunday: Bindi Sue received 1st in Open Bitches and went Reserve Winners. oo! It was head to head between Bindi and Story. Thanks to Noel for taking Story in for Winners. Raider was 1st in his class.

St. Louis Golden Retriever Specialty and Sporting Dog Obedience Trial April 8th and 9th Saturday Specialty Show Julie and OTCH Shine won their Open B which held for High in Trial. This completes Shine's HIT requirements to be in the Golden Retriever Obedience Hall of Fame (ODHF). Saturday Sporting Dog Obedience Trial Holly and Bindi Sue won their Novice B class with a 198 1/2 and went onto receive High in Trial. This was their first time showing showing in obedience! January 2005 Shine came home from the Minnesota circuit sporting a new title!! OTCH PRAIRIEWYN'S TAKING A SHINE UDX ALONG WITH THE OTCH HE RECEIVED A HIGH IN TRIAL OUT OF OPEN B WITH A 199 AND A HIGH COMBINED.
The Kansas City show Circuit proved to be a great weekend for the PrairieWyn Goldens! On Friday, August 20th, Shine picked up 2 more Otch points by receiving a second in Open B. And did his mother proud on Saturday, August 21st. Shine went HIT from Open B, with a 199. The judge was Lynn Eggers, who coincidentally finished Fire's (Shine's Mom) oTch. It was Shine's first HIT!! He added 6 more points, and is now at 68 points and counting! Not to be out done, Elle was working hard in the conformation ring. Kansas city made majors all four days. On Thursday, August 19th, Elle placed 2nd in open bitches and went on for her first major reserve! Friday she made the cut, and on Saturday she received a fourth. On Sunday she was the belle of the Ball. Not to be outdone by her 'brother' elle received a first in open bitches, and went on to go winners bitch and best of winners for her 1st major win! A truly fun and exhausting weekend for the Simmons clan!
